Director of Photography
Jason Vaz
At 16 years old (1986), Jason shot home video of a funnel cloud near his home in Northeast Denver. After calling News4, the local NBC affiliate at the time, and speaking with the assignment desk, Jason was asked to bring the video to the station so it could be viewed. Forty-five minutes later, the video was aired as the “cold open” for News4 at 4 O’clock, two weeks later, Jason received a check for $30. He was hooked.
In 2002, Jason founded Vaz Video Services as a sole proprietorship, with the purpose of offering non-profit enterprises, an affordable video production solution. Five years later, Jason was prompted to leave local news, to develop his business, and to pursue vocational media ministry.
Collaborating with writers/producers and other creative professionals in the Denver area, Jason is growing as a Director of Photography everyday, and looks forward to making new business relationships in 2010. Jason has a beautiful wife of 13 years, and 3 super awesome kids 13, 11, and 7.

Editor
Nick Arnold
Starting with a love for film, Nick pursued film school and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Writing and Directing for film from the Colorado Film School. After graduation, he decided that entering the film industry was too much sacrifice for his family. That is when Nick got a job in broadcasting.
From that point on, he began work on numerous award winning television shows as an editor and realized that broadcast was just as good a medium as film for telling compelling stories.
In 2009, Nick co-founded Yellow Gal High Definition (YGHD) with Blaine and Whei Howerton. In 2010, he pursued the company full-time. Dig In was formed as a subsidiary of YGHD in 2010, and is one of several shows being developed by YGHD.
Nick has won many awards for his work but would say that his greatest achievement is his family. He is blessed to have a wonderful wife and an amazing 1 year old daughter.
